Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to support a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation for a leading organization in the Power Generation Equipment sector.

In this role, you will design, configure, and implement SAP TM solutions to optimize transportation planning, freight management, logistics execution, and shipment visibility across equipment, spare parts, and service operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end configuration and implementation of SAP Transportation Management (TM) using SAP Activate Methodology.
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct business blueprinting workshops with key stakeholders to map transportation and logistics requirements.
- Process Configuration: Configure Freight Order Management, Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, Route Optimization, Freight Settlement, and Charge Management.
- Logistics Execution: Support both inbound and outbound logistics processes for heavy equipment, spare parts, and field service operations.
- System Integration: Integrate SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA, Embedded EWM, SD, MM, and third-party logistics (3PL) systems or carriers.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare clear functional specifications (FS) for custom enhancements, APIs, IDocs, and web service integrations.
- Testing & Deployment:



Lead Data Migration, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare phases.
- Enablement & Support: Deliver end-user training, build documentation, and provide post-go-live hypercare support.

Requirements & Qualifications Experience & Core Expertise

- Total Experience: 6–10 years of overall SAP consulting experience.
- SAP TM Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP TM implementation or support.
- Project Lifecycle: At least 1 full end-to-end implementation of SAP TM integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
- Core Module Skills: Deep technical proficiency in Freight Order Management, Carrier Selection & Tender, Charge Management, Freight Settlement, and Route Optimization.
- Cross-Module Integration: Proven integration knowledge between SAP TM and Embedded EWM, SD, MM, as well as SAP Integration Suite / CPI.
- Technical Familiarity: Good working knowledge of SAP Fiori, APIs, IDocs, Web Services, and SAP Activate Methodology.

Education & Certifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- SAP TM Certification (Preferred)
- SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Certification (Added Advantage)

Soft Skills & Industry Knowledge

- Industry Experience: Background in Power Generation Equipment, Heavy Machinery, Industrial Manufacturing, Engineering Services, or Spare Parts Distribution is highly preferred.
