Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Consultant to lead and deliver end-to-end SAP IBP solutions across supply planning, demand planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP; processes.
The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP IBP functional expertise with a solid understanding of supply chain planning processes and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performing planning solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, SAP teams, and technical teams to deliver transformation initiatives and continuously improve planning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP IBP assessment and solutioning discussion
- Implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and support engagements across the supply chain planning landscape.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective SAP IBP solutions.
- Design and configure SAP IBP modules, including:
Sales and operations planning (S&OP;)
Forecasting and demand management
Inventory planning and optimization
Response and supply planning
Supply chain visibility, where applicable.
- Design planning areas, time profiles, attributes, key figures, master data, planning levels, and aggregation/disaggregation logic.
- Configure and optimize statistical forecasting, demand sensing, supply planning, and inventory planning processes.
- Develop and maintain supply planning models, heuristics, finite planning, optimizer-based planning, and response planning scenarios.
- Configure planning operators, application jobs, alerts, key figure calculations, and exception-based planning.
- Support integration between SAP IBP and SAP/non-SAP systems using appropriate integration technologies and interfaces.
- Work with SAP S/4HANA,
SAP ECC, SAP BW, and other enterprise systems to ensure accurate and timely master and transactional data integration.
- Participate in solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on extensions, integrations, reports, and automation.
- Lead workshops with business users and senior stakeholders to understand current processes, identify gaps, and define future-state planning processes.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
- Prepare solution documentation, configuration guides, test scripts, training materials, and operational procedures.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentor junior consultants and business users.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve planning processes, system usability, automation, and supply chain performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of SAP supply chain planning experience, with significant hands-on SAP IBP experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IBP configuration and implementation.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and S&OP; processes.
- Experience translating business requirements into SAP IBP solution designs.
- Solid knowledge of SAP IBP planning objects, key figures, planning levels, planning operators, and planning areas.
- Experience with SAP IBP integration and data flows with SAP ERP/SAP S/4HANA and other systems.
- Experience in full lifecycle SAP IBP implementations or major transformation programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP IBP certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
- Experience with SAP APO, SAP PP/DS, SAP BW, or other SAP supply chain planning solutions.
- Experience with SAP IBP Excel Add-In and planning applications.
- Knowledge of CPI-DS and/or SAP Integration Suite.
- Experience with SAP IBP demand sensing, inventory optimization, or advanced supply planning.
- Experience working in global, multi-country SAP transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, service level, inventory turns, working capital, and OTIF.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Ability to lead workshops and communicate effectively with business and executive stakeholders.
