Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager with robust SAP Basis expertise to lead and manage SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, transformation, and support projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong project/program management skills with a solid technical understanding of SAP Basis, SAP S/4HANA, HANA databases, system landscapes, and SAP infrastructure.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder management, project planning, risk management, resource coordination, and ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end SAP projects involving SAP Basis, S/4HANA, ECC, HANA, upgrades, migrations, implementations, and system transformations.
- Own project planning, execution, monitoring, governance, and delivery.
- Coordinate SAP Basis, functional, infrastructure, security, development, database, and third-party teams.
- Manage SAP system landscape activities including development, quality, production, DR, and sandbox environments.
- Provide technical leadership and project oversight for SAP Basis and HANA-related activities.
- Manage SAP upgrades, migrations, installations, system refreshes, patching, kernel upgrades, transport management, and performance-related initiatives.
- Coordinate SAP infrastructure and cloud migration projects involving Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
- Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Track project budgets, risks, issues, change requests, and project status.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage vendors, partners, consultants, and offshore/onshore teams.




- Ensure adherence to SAP implementation methodologies, ITIL processes, security standards, and organizational governance.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage escalations and resolve cross-functional technical and delivery issues.
- Support business stakeholders during major SAP releases, migrations, cutovers, and go-live activities.
- Drive project documentation, knowledge transfer, lessons learned, and post-go-live stabilization.

Required Skills & Experience: 10-20 years of overall IT experience, with significant experience managing SAP projects.

- Strong experience in SAP Project Management with SAP Basis.
- Hands-on or robust working knowledge of SAP Basis administration and SAP technical architecture.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP HANA database, SAP system landscapes, transports, system refreshes, upgrades, patches, and performance management.
- Experience managing SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, rollout, or transformation projects.
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor, and client management skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, budgeting, resource planning, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent project management certification.
- SAP certification in SAP Basis, S/4HANA, or SAP Technology.
- Experience with SAP cloud migration or transformation programs.
- Experience with RISE with SAP / SAP Cloud would be an advantage.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP infrastructure.
- Experience with large-scale global SAP programs and enterprise environments.
