About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager with strong exposure to the Food & Beverage (F&B;) industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, generating and converting sales opportunities, and achieving revenue targets.

The ideal candidate should understand the food industry ecosystem, including food manufacturers, food brands, restaurants, QSRs, cloud kitchens, ingredient companies, FMCG companies, food startups, and other F&B; businesses. The role requires a combination of strategic sales planning, client acquisition, team management, negotiation, and strong industry networking.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and develop recent business opportunities within the Food & Beverage sector.
- Generate leads through industry networking, references, market research, digital channels, exhibitions, and direct outreach.
- Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent movement of leads through the sales funnel.
- Convert qualified leads into business opportunities and successfully close deals.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling existing services to clients.
- Develop current markets, customer segments, and geographical territories as required.

1. Food & Beverage Industry Sales

- Build relationships with food manufacturers, FMCG companies, restaurants, QSRs, hotels, food startups, ingredient suppliers, and food processing companies.
- Understand clients' requirements related to food product development, manufacturing, processing, quality, formulation, ingredients, packaging, regulatory compliance, and other technical requirements.
- Coordinate with technical and food technology teams to understand client requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in food products, ingredients, processing technologies, consumer preferences, and the F&B; market.

1. Client Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, product/service discussions, and commercial negotiations.




- Understand customer requirements and ensure suitable solutions are proposed.
- Handle client queries, objections, negotiations, and follow-ups professionally.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals.

1. Team Management

- Lead, guide, and monitor the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Allocate leads and opportunities effectively among team members.
- Track daily sales activities, follow-ups, meetings, proposals, and conversions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve team productivity.
- Establish clear sales KPIs and ensure accountability for results.
- Support team members in handling difficult negotiations and high-value clients.

1. Sales Pipeline & CRM Management

- Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, prospects, opportunities, proposals, and closures in the CRM.
- Monitor lead response time and ensure timely follow-up on every qualified opportunity.
- Analyze the sales funnel to identify bottlenecks and improve conversion rates.
- Prepare regular sales reports covering revenue, pipeline, conversion, pending follow-ups, and target achievement.
- Ensure no potential lead or business opportunity is left unattended.

1. Proposal & Negotiation

- Prepare and review commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, and business proposals in coordination with relevant teams.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, timelines, and service scope with clients.
- Ensure profitable business closure while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate with management and technical teams for customized proposals and high-value projects.

1. Market Research & Strategy

- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments.
- Monitor competitors, pricing, services, and market positioning.
- Identify emerging opportunities in food product development, food manufacturing, consulting, ingredients, and related F&B; services.
- Provide management with insights and recommendations for business expansion.

1. Management Coordination & Reporting

- Work closely with management, technical, food technology, operations,



and project teams to ensure smooth execution of acquired projects.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
- Present sales performance and business development updates to senior management.
- Coordinate internally to ensure commitments made during the sales process are clearly communicated and achievable.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing or related specialization will be an added advantage.
- 4–7 years of relevant sales/business development experience, preferably in the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Food Ingredients, Food Consulting, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and client acquisition.
- Proven experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing and mentoring a sales team.
