Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Asansol.

The Sales

Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets for health insurance products through effective planning, lead generation, and conversion, while managing relationships with individual customers, corporate clients, and distribution partners. Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting product presentations, negotiating terms, closing sales, and ensuring high standards of customer service and policy onboarding. The role involves building and mentoring a sales team, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing local market strategies in line with ABHICL’s overall business goals.

The Sales

Manager collaborates closely with marketing, operations, and underwriting teams to provide feedback from the field and enhance product positioning and customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong sales, business development, and customer relationship management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in health insurance, financial services,



or related domains; knowledge of insurance products and regulatory guidelines is highly beneficial.
- Team leadership capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
- Analytical and planning skills to interpret market data, forecast sales, and design local sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems for managing pipelines, reporting, and sales tracking; proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant qualified certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Asansol, travel within the region as needed, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
