Role Description The Counselor role at SST Overseas is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Counselor will guide prospective and current IMGs through program options, admission processes, and career pathways related to USMLE preparation, clinical electives/externships, and residency applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting student consultations, explaining course structures and timelines, advising on documentation and application requirements, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems.

The role also involves coordinating with training and operations teams, following up with leads and enrolled students, and supporting orientation sessions and informational events.



The Counselor will provide clear, professional communication, ensuring that each learner receives individualized, ethical, and supportive guidance.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand learner goals and suggest appropriate programs and pathways.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, and internal teams in a clear and qualified manner.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, including maintaining detailed records, managing follow-ups, and handling multiple inquiries efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of medical education pathways, international admissions, or exam preparation processes (experience with USMLE or IMGs is an advantage).
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools, CRM or student management systems, and online communication platforms.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach to supporting student success.
- Prior experience in counseling, education consulting, or student support roles is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in education, counseling, or related fields are a plus.
