About the Role:

As the Safety Officer, you will ensure the protected execution of ELV installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities in compliance with applicable safety standards, statutory requirements, and project-specifications.The Safety Officer will be responsible for identifying and implementing preventive measures,conducting safety inspections, and promoting a solid safety culture across project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement project HSE policies and site safety procedures.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE such as:

Safety helmet

Safety shoes

Reflective/safety jacket

Safety harness

Gloves

Safety goggles and other required PPE.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) before starting critical activities.
- Verify work permits before commencing site activities.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis / Risk Assessment for planned activities.
- Ensure protected execution of:

Working at height

Ladder/scaffolding work

Electrical work

Cable pulling

Drilling/core cutting

Ceiling work

Server room/data center activities

Material handling

Testing and commissioning.
- Inspect ladders, scaffolds, tools, lifting equipment, and electrical equipment before use.
- Ensure proper barricading and signage around work areas.
- Monitor housekeeping and safe material storage.
- Ensure proper cable management to avoid trip hazards.
- Monitor electrical safety, temporary power connections,



and use of portable electrical tools.
- Ensure workers follow customer-specific safety requirements.
- Report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate risk to personnel or property.
- Record and report incidents, near misses, and accidents.
- Coordinate emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain HSE records and daily/monthly safety reports.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and inspections.
- Coordinate with customer HSE teams and close safety observations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and customer-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct safety induction for new workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain records of PPE issuance, training, TBT, permits, inspections, and incidents.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction/ELV site safety.
- Knowledge of work-at-height and electrical safety.
- Risk assessment and JSA preparation.
- Good knowledge of PPE and safety equipment.
- Ability to conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and site coordination skills.
- MS Office/Excel knowledge preferred.

Qualification & Experience:

- Diploma/Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, or relevant engineering discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in ELV/MEP/construction/data-center projects.
- NEBOSH/IOSH/ADIS or equivalent safety certification preferred.
