Safety Officer – Chemical Manufacturing

Location: Wada, Palghar

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month

Job Type: Full-time | Work from Office/Plant

- Ensure implementation of EHS and safety procedures in the chemical manufacturing plant.
- Conduct regular plant safety inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
- Monitor safe working practices in production, maintenance and chemical handling areas.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
- Inspect and maintain readiness of fire-fighting systems, fire pumps, hydrants, extinguishers and emergency equipment.
- Conduct fire drills, mock drills, toolbox talks and safety training.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure safe chemical storage, handling and transportation.
- Maintain EHS records, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.
- Support On-Site Emergency Plan and emergency response activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and other departments to ensure safe plant operations.





Requirements
- ADIS / Diploma in Industrial Safety mandatory.
- Fire & Safety / Fire Engineering qualification preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in Chemical / Pharmaceutical / Specialty Chemical Manufacturing.
- Candidates with construction-only safety experience will not be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Industrial Safety, Fire Safety and Chemical Safety.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
