Role Description The Safety Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in Pune City. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety procedures and standards across architectural and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, performing risk assessments, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, and advising project teams on best practices for safe design and execution.

The Safety

Engineer will coordinate safety training sessions, maintain documentation related to incidents and corrective actions, and collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors to integrate safety into every project phase.



The role also involves supporting security considerations for facilities and actively promoting a culture of safety within the organization and on project sites.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Engineering and Construction Safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of safety controls on project sites.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Occupational Health principles, including workplace ergonomics, exposure control, and compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Candidates should possess competencies related to Security, such as understanding access control, emergency response planning, and coordination with security teams when required.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, including the ability to design and deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher programs for diverse project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are an advantage.
- Experience in construction or architectural projects, preferably with industrial, institutional, or healthcare facilities.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with local and national safety regulations and standards applicable to construction and facility design in India.
