Key Responsibilities

- Providing Engineering inputs to R and D /Pilot Plant for recent product development and process improvement for the existing products. Data compilation for scale-up studies and trials.
- Carrying out basic design calculations and preparation of engineering documents/ drawings.
- Carrying out checks in plant to ensure that the erection is done as per P and ID's and other guidelines set by BEP. Provide technical support to Production department for pre-commissioning and commissioning of the plant.;;;
- Coordination with Team and single handed lead of Project.




- Identifying area for process improvements to attain/ exceed the targeted capacity/Yield/Budgeted norms/ Product Specifications.
- Co-ordination with cross functional team for pre-commissioning and commissioning products.
- Developing and updating Process Design Manuals/SOP's/BPR's/Plant operating manuals.
- Daily support to production team for technical challenges. Providing technical input for Mechanization and automation for process improvement and reduce the manual handling
- Providing the technical inputs for Implementation of safety standard at site and addressing the environmental issue.
- Preparation of documents for HAZOP study/JSA/PSSHER/BPR etc.
- Developing and updating BFP, PFD, P and ID's and layout.
- Awareness about responsible care (Environment, Health, Safety and Security)

The Person

- Qualifications: B.E / B. Tech - Chemical Engineer with 5-6 of experience in Technology transfer /Technical Service +Pilot /Production (Batch mode /Continuous chemical process)
- Competency/ Skills:
- Knowledge of Batch/ Continuous chemical process.
- Working Knowledge of operation of Critical Reaction/Autoclave /Distillation /Dryer /Filtration / pumps, safety device etc.
- Knowledge of details Process mapping (equipment selection/MOC selection/Capacity calculation/Utility calculation/ Environment related balance and disposal process etc.
- Knowledge of Hazard chemical handling and Mitigation Plan.
- Knowledge of basic engineering calculation and Application.
- Knowledge of Process safety ( Hazop / reisk assessment/HIRA), SOP's and WI's of the concerned area.
- Strong skills in adherence to quality / safety norms
- Understanding and experience of manpower handling
- Exposure to P and ID /PFD/Mass balance/Energy balance/Utility calculation /Chemical reaction energy calculation /WCM activities concepts.
- Experience in DCS / PLC based control systems in plants
