Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering ONLY, having approximately 5 years of relevant experience in Cold Rolling Mill, Hot Rolling Mill, steel processing equipment, or heavy industrial machinery.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor for 2D/3D mechanical design, modelling, assemblies, GA drawings, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.

Mandatory Requirements

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering ONLY
- B.Tech / B.E. candidates are NOT ELIGIBLE
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical design experience
- Relevant experience in Cold Rolling Mill / Hot Rolling Mill / Steel Processing Equipment is MANDATORY
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor is MANDATORY
- Experience in mechanical design, fabrication drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop part designs, assembly designs, fabrication drawings, layouts, and manufacturing drawings.




- Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings.
- Create and modify 3D models and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
- Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Make design revisions based on engineering and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Fabrication, and Project teams.
- Ensure drawings meet required dimensions, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain drawing numbering, revision control, and design documentation.
- Support the engineering team in resolving design and fabrication-related issues.

Required Skills
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory
- Autodesk Inventor – Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, and manufacturing drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, and fits.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.

Mandatory Industry Experience Candidates must have relevant experience in one or more of the following:
- Cold Rolling Mill
- Hot Rolling Mill
- Steel Processing Equipment
- Heavy Machinery
- Industrial Equipment
- Mechanical Fabrication
- Engineering Projects

Priority will be given to candidates who have direct experience in both Cold Rolling Mill and Hot Rolling Mill equipment/design.

Strict Eligibility

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering + 5 Years Relevant Experience + Cold/Hot Rolling Mill Experience + Autodesk Inventor Experience = REQUIRED

B.Tech / B.E. candidates will NOT be considered.
