Role Description The role involves preparing accurate architectural documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details within Revit Platform.
Responsibilities include coordinating drawings with design team inputs, updating documentation in response to design changes, and supporting project delivery across concept, planning, and construction phases.
The Revit
Technician / Draftsperson will liaise with consultants to resolve technical issues, maintain drawing standards, and ensure documentation complies with relevant codes and regulations. The role also includes contributing to quality control, organizing project files, and assisting with the preparation of submission packages and tender documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Building Design, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional Revit documentation experience.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Good understanding of residential construction and documentation.
- Ability to produce clear plans, elevations, sections, schedules and construction details.
- Strong understanding of levels, wall types, floor and roof assemblies, openings and material junctions.
- Ability to read and interpret consultant drawings, surveys and technical information.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to follow written instructions, recorded explanations and PDF mark-ups.
- Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of efficiently running Revit.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
- Documentation experience involving custom houses, renovations, extensions or multi-residential projects.
- Experience with hospitality or interior fit-out documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat or similar software.
- Experience preparing drawing schedules and managing revisions.
- Ability to create parametric Revit families.
- Basic understanding of BIM coordination and model management.
- Experience working remotely with an overseas or distributed design team.
Working Arrangement
- Remote position based in India.
- Full-time or part-time arrangement may be considered.
- Working hours can be discussed, but some agreed daily overlap with the studio will be required.
- Initial probationary period, followed by an chance for an ongoing position.
- Compensation will be based on experience, technical capability, availability and the quality of submitted work.
