Job Summary The Cafe Host is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and qualified experience for customers from the moment they enter the café until they leave. The role involves greeting guests, managing seating, coordinating with service staff, handling basic customer enquiries, and ensuring the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and presentable.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Assist customers with seating arrangements and provide menus when required.

- Understand customer requirements and respond to basic queries about the café.

- Maintain a positive and courteous attitude with all customers.

- Handle customer feedback professionally and escalate complaints to the Café Manager when required.

- Ensure customers receive a smooth and pleasant dining experience.

Seating &

- Guest Management

- Manage the waiting list and seating arrangements during busy periods.

- Coordinate with service staff regarding table availability and customer requirements.

- Monitor table turnover and ensure tables are prepared promptly for the next guests.

- Assist with reservations and customer bookings, where applicable.

- Ensure priority and special requests are communicated to the relevant team members.

Front-of-House Operations

- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception/host area.

- Ensure menus, promotional materials, and customer information are available and organized.

- Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and service teams to maintain smooth operations.

- Support the café team during peak hours as required.

- Follow company policies and operational procedures.

Sales &

- Customer Engagement

- Introduce customers to café promotions, special menus, and offers.

- Assist in promoting additional products or services when appropriate.





- Build positive relationships with regular customers.

- Encourage customer satisfaction and repeat visits.

Qualifications &

- Experience

- Minimum qualification: Higher Secondary / Diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer-service role is preferred.

- Freshers with excellent communication and customer-service skills may also be considered.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.

- Shift-based working schedule as per café requirements.

- Weekend and holiday work may be required based on the duty roster.

- Overtime, if applicable, will be governed by company policy.
