Position Overview The Restaurant Captain is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth table management, and coordination between the service and kitchen teams. The role involves supervising staff, managing guest concerns, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

- Greet guests warmly and ensure they receive prompt and efficient service.
- Manage table allocation, reservations, and guest flow during busy hours.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of menu items, specials, allergens, and ingredients.

Service Operations

- Supervise and support service staff (servers, runners, stewards) during shifts.
- Ensure correct order-taking, billing procedures, and service sequence are followed.
- Conduct pre-opening and closing checks for the dining area.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and ambience standards are consistently maintained.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food.

Team Leadership

- Conduct daily briefings on menu updates, promotions, and service expectations.
- Train and guide service staff on guest handling, service etiquette, and SOPs.




- Monitor staff performance and report issues to the Restaurant Manager.

Sales & Revenue Contribution

- Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and POS operations.
- Assist in controlling wastage, breakage, and inventory management of service equipment.

Compliance & Standards

- Ensure adherence to company policies, F&B; hygiene standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain discipline, grooming standards, and professional behaviour across the team.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to service.
- Excellent problem-solving and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of restaurant service SOPs and POS systems.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management preferred (not mandatory).
- Experience in casual dining, café, or premium service setups is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
