Role Overview The RCM will be the lead site representative of the Consultant/PMC and will be responsible for overall construction and erection supervision of the project, including onshore and offshore treated-effluent pipeline works. The RCM will represent the Consultant in day-to-day coordination with GACL and the appointed contractors and will monitor construction, quality, progress, safety and compliance with approved engineering documents.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary site representative of the Consultant and coordinate directly with GACL's Project/Construction Management team.
Attend daily coordination meetings, progress meetings and technical discussions with GACL and contractors.
Supervise and monitor onshore and offshore pipeline construction and installation activities.
Supervise HDPE pipeline laying, pipe string fabrication, welding/jointing, launching, float-and-sink operations, ballast installation and related activities.
Supervise offshore activities including shore approach, marine pipeline laying, diffuser installation, testing and commissioning.
Review contractor's construction methodologies, work procedures, inspection procedures and method statements.
Verify that construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, QAP/ITP and approved procedures.
Inspect and verify contractor-supplied materials against approved specifications, drawings, MTOs, QAP/ITP and relevant certificates.
Monitor quality of workmanship and raise observations/NCRs wherever required.
Coordinate with engineering team for resolution of site technical issues, design clarifications and technical queries.
Monitor contractor manpower, equipment, resources and construction progress.
Identify construction risks and support appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), weekly/monthly progress reports and other project reports.
Maintain records of inspections, material approvals, testing, construction progress and site activities.
Verify contractor progress for measurement/payment purposes as required by the Consultant/GACL.
Monitor testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with GACL, contractors, vendors and specialist agencies during critical activities.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of site records.
Support the Consultant's Project Manager/Head Office in all construction-related matters.
Required Skills
Robust practical experience in pipeline construction and site supervision.
Experience in onshore and offshore/marine pipeline construction is essential.
Good understanding of HDPE pipeline installation and marine construction activities.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, specifications and QAP/ITP.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
Good report-writing and documentation skills.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to independently represent the Consultant at project site.
Willingness to work at site and during critical/offshore activities as required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: ₹1,00,000 per month
