Founding Team Opportunity __ Research & Business Development :

JX Marine Technologies Pvt Ltd is building electric propulsion and intelligent technology for India’s coastal commercial fishing sector.

We are still at the beginning. The founding team is being built now.

I am looking for a person who wants to be part of that stage and take real ownership.

The work covers two connected areas.

Research: Understanding the industry around what we are building, including fishing communities, government schemes, regulations, competitors, market developments, and the organizations that matter.

Business Development: Identifying and reaching the people, cooperative societies, institutions, and potential partners who can help JX Marine move from an idea towards real-world deployment.

Good research leads to better decisions. Good business development starts with understanding the industry properly. At this stage, the two go together.

This is not a conventional internship or assistant role.

I am looking for someone who can work independently, ask good questions, and take responsibility for what they take on.

Someone who reads beyond the first search result.

Someone who can take a vague question, figure out what needs to be understood, and come back with something useful.

Someone who is comfortable reaching out to people they have never met, asking thoughtful questions, and building relationships from the ground up.

I do not expect you to wait for me to give you a task every morning.

I expect you to understand what we are trying to build, identify what we need to know or who we need to reach, and take it forward.





You may be a final-year student or recent graduate from engineering, economics, business, policy, or another relevant field.

Your degree matters, but how you think, communicate, research, and take ownership matters more.

What you can expect:

- Work directly with the Founding Engineer
- Close exposure to the early stages of building JX Marine
- Mentorship and direct feedback
- The opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work from the beginning
- A formal letter of recommendation
- Equity consideration based on contribution and long-term involvement

One important point:

This is an early-stage opportunity and there is no salary at this stage.

I want to be explicit about that from the beginning.

If you are looking for a conventional paid internship with predefined tasks and regular supervision, this may not be the right fit.

If you want to understand a real industry, meet people in it, do the research yourself, and help turn an early idea into something real, I would like to hear from you.
