Brief On The Organization Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.

Project Brief

This project involves establishing a Technical Resource Centre (TRC) under the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, as part of its Centre for Evidence based Guidelines initiative. The TRC will conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses on prioritized review questions (PICOs) and grade the certainty of evidence using the GRADE methodology, to support the development of national evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Deliverables  Supporting the PI in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses

 Assisting in research paper writing

 Contributing to guideline formation activities under the Centre for Evidence for Guideline

 Coordinating with different levels across selected review centres

 Supporting other research-related activities associated with the project.

 Any other task given by the project PI.

Qualification: (Minimum)

 Ph.D. / MD / MS / MDS or equivalent degree; OR M.V.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc. with at least 3 years of post-qualification research experience and at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable:



Prior experience handling systematic review projects in the medical field; basic knowledge of biostatistics; knowledge of research paper writing; publications involving systematic reviews and meta-analysis as first/corresponding author in SCIE Q1 journals.

Experience: At least 3 years of post-qualification research experience with a minimum of one SCI-indexed publication (for M.Pharm/M.Sc./M.Tech/M.E./M.V.Sc. candidates); no separate minimum experience prescribed for Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS holders.

Desirable: Experience in systematic review and meta-analysis projects; high-level expertise in data analysis using R programming, STATA and Python.

Liasioning Requirement: Coordination with selected systematic review centres

Report Writing & Documentation: Yes – research paper and report writing required

Operational Requirement Computer Knowledge: R programming, STATA, Python (desirable)
