Company Description: Politics and Disability Forum is an initiative dedicated to advancing the political participation of disabled people in India and globally. The organisation focuses on researching and advocating for effective political representation of disabled communities.

It develops and circulates ideas, proposals, and policy solutions to improve inclusion in political processes. The Forum also seeks to foster broader discourse at the intersection of politics and disability, encouraging critical engagement among diverse stakeholders. Applicants will be joining a mission-driven space committed to social justice and systemic change.

Politics and Disability Forum × Believe in the Invisible is inviting applications for the position of Programme Associate III within the Roots to Reform (BITI × Roche Pharma India) programme.

This role is for someone interested in the intersection of law, public policy, disability rights, health insurance and Parliament .

What will you work on?

? Legal and regulatory research on health insurance, chronic neurological conditions and disability inclusion

? Researching the RPwD Act, Mental Healthcare Act, consumer law and relevant constitutional jurisprudence

? Building a repository of Insurance Ombudsman awards, consumer forum decisions and High Court/Supreme Court judgments

? Tracking Parliamentary questions, debates, committee proceedings and private members’ business

? Drafting Parliamentary Questions, Special Mentions, briefing notes and committee memoranda

? Supporting the development of a Virtual Parliamentary Champion Network of 8–10 MPs

? Contributing to regulatory submissions, model clauses, amendment proposals and the Parliamentary Advocacy Toolkit





? Supporting the legal and parliamentary components of the National Health Equity Report

Who should apply?

A law or public policy degree is not mandatory .

We are looking for candidates with:

- 1–2 years of experience in legal research, legislative research or policy advocacy, though this is not mandatory
- Parliamentary experience, including work with an MP, parliamentary office, committee secretariat or comparable engagement, is an advantage
- Familiarity with disability law and/or insurance or financial-sector regulation in India
- Strong legal research and primary-source retrieval skills
- Excellent English drafting skills; working Hindi is an advantage
- Strong attention to accuracy, sourcing and citations
- The ability to turn complex regulatory issues into concise, usable Parliamentary briefs
- A commitment to non-partisan parliamentary engagement

Engagement Details

PART TIME

? Location: Recent Delhi / Remote

?️ Physical presence is mandatory during Parliamentary sessions

⏳ 20 hours/week

? Duration: 12 months

? Remuneration: ₹30,000/month

? Additional leave provisions, including extra leave for persons with disabilities and periods.

The role reports to the Policy and Advocacy Lead, Politics and Disability Forum , and works closely with the programme and advocacy teams.
