Role Description The Reporter is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur. This position involves gathering news and information from campus events, academic activities, and institutional developments, and transforming them into explicit, engaging stories for internal and external audiences.

The Reporter will conduct interviews with faculty, students, and stakeholders; verify facts and sources; and produce written and multimedia content for university publications, websites, and social media channels. Daily responsibilities include monitoring newsworthy topics, attending briefings and conferences,



collaborating with communication and editorial teams, and meeting tight deadlines while adhering to ethical and professional reporting standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills for accurate, timely, and engaging coverage of university-related events and issues.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Writing skills to conduct interviews, convey complex information clearly, and tailor content to diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess Multimedia skills, including basic photo, audio, or video capture and editing, to support digital storytelling across multiple platforms.
- Relevant skills such as fact-checking, attention to detail, and familiarity with journalistic ethics and standards are highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Jaipur, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional academic and administrative teams.
- Experience reporting in an academic, public sector, or non-profit environment, and proficiency in digital publishing tools, are considered an advantage.
