Role & responsibilities

- Support depot teams in implementing and maintaining strategies, plans and procedures that protect employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, property and facilities from workplace health, safety and environmental hazards.

- Assess workplace hazards and operational risks, recommend suitable control measures and track closure of corrective and preventive actions.

- Conduct regular inspections, audits and site visits to identify potential EHS concerns and ensure compliance with established protocols.

- Lead or support incident investigations, determine root causes, implement corrective actions and share lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

- Plan and conduct EHS, road safety and ESG training sessions, awareness campaigns and engagement activities for depot and regional teams.

- Maintain accurate regional records and documentation for safety inspections, incidents, training, statutory compliance, environmental consents and ESG reporting.

- Ensure availability, condition and usability of safety equipment, PPE and CPE across assigned depots and facilities.

- Implement corporate EHS and ESG strategies, plans, procedures and improvement initiatives across the region.

- Provide guidance and support to management, employees, vendors and contractors on EHS, road safety and ESG matters.

- Stay updated on emerging EHS, road safety, environmental and ESG trends, regulations and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

- Regularly visit depots, mid-points, end-points and related facilities to review compliance, identify risks and support operational teams.





- Maintain regional MIS for assigned depots and fulfil weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements of Corporate EHS and ESG.

- Monitor and implement ESG compliance requirements, including environmental consents, CTE/CTO, waste management and applicable CPCB and SPCB requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Implement EHS, road safety and ESG policies, procedures and guidelines in line with applicable laws, internal standards and corporate requirements.

- Ensure high standards of safety compliance and promote a healthy, protected and environmentally responsible workplace for employees, visitors, vendors and contractors.

- Monitor safety, environmental, road transport, EV and depot-related regulations, codes and standards applicable to regional operations.

- Strengthen emergency preparedness and response by supporting evacuation plans, mock drills and emergency procedures across assigned locations.

- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss events at depots and en-route locations, identify root causes and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS and ESG practices into daily operations across assigned depots and facilities.

- Maintain effective communication with government bodies, safety organisations, regulatory agencies, insurance partners and other external stakeholders.

- Guide depot EHS Managers and road safety trainers to ensure consistent implementation of EHS, road safety and ESG requirements across the region.
