Overview The Regional Communications & Network Coordinator is a dual-function role designed to bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and on-the-ground operational excellence. This role serves as the primary regional steward for the Stanford Seed brand, ensuring that all communications, events, and network activities reflect the excellence and integrity of Stanford University, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Stanford Seed.
By bringing accountability to previously fragmented processes, the Coordinator ensures that the Stanford Seed Transformation Network (STN) operates with consistency, visibility, and strategic alignment across all regional chapters.
I. Brand Stewardship & Communications Liaison
- Onboarding & Oversight: Serve as the lead brand liaison for Network Chapters leadership, staff and consultants - for South Asia and ad hoc in Indonesia. Provide comprehensive onboarding on brand voice, tone, logo usage, and common pitfalls to ensure brand alignment from day one.
- Brand Guardian: Is the regional lead on all matters related to brand voice, tone, logo usage, and common pitfalls to ensure brand alignment from day one. Actively monitor the regional markets for brand misuse by collaborators and participants. Resolve issues proactively and verify that all live assets meet strict brand requirements.
- Asset Management: Manage the regional flows of design requests. Liaise between regional teams and central designers to ensure WhatsApp graphics, event posts, and marketing materials meet brand standards and are delivered on schedule.
II. Content Strategy & Social Visibility
- Local Storytelling: Source and produce a steady pipeline of locally-driven content, including STP and Spark participant, and Network member success stories, participant milestones, and event coverage to feed global newsletters and social channels.
- Photography Coordination: Assist with the in-region photography workflows. Mitigate legal risk by soliciting and managing documented permissions/approvals for photo use in marketing collateral. On-board new photographers. Coordinate in office photographers to separate "hero" marketing images from shareable "candid" albums for participants to increase organic LinkedIn visibility.
- Digital Engagement: Support regional social media presence on Stanford Seed’s central channels and drive engagement through regional content and event capture. Form relationships with Network leadership in order to receive content ideas. This includes digital outreach in support of STP recruitment, covering online and in-person events, pre-event marketing, and post-event content such as event highlights and photography. Meet at a regular cadence with counterparts in other regions to ensure equal representation.
- Track relevant ecosystem events and proactively suggest speaking and participation opportunities for Seed staff to strengthen Seed’s visibility, brand presence, and thought leadership.
III. Event & Immersion Week Excellence
- Visual Presentation: Provide support in ensuring the visual "environment" of Immersion Weeks, high-visibility events, and award presentations are on point. Ensure signage, presentation decks, and banners meet Stanford Seed’s quality standards, resolving on-site brand issues in real-time.
- Event Logistics: Support the Network Manager(s) in planning and delivering end-of-year events, masterclasses, and expert-led sessions, including venue preparation and participant communication.
IV. Network Administration & Growth
- Impact Tracking and MIS:
- Manage the annual impact data gathering process, including monitoring transformation metrics from select companies to support the Annual Seed Survey.
- Maintain regional participant contact databases and trackers to support outreach and survey completion.
- Prepare network programme summaries and MIS reports for regional and global reporting cycles.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with business leaders through periodic check-in calls and site visits.
- Strategic Recruitment: Assist in annual participant recruitment by managing referral initiatives across regional chapters.
- Manage promotional inventory planning and replenishment: Coordinate with Regional Finance on procurement and customs.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, brand management, social media, journalism, and/or entrepreneurship support (incubators, accelerators, or business networks).
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Google Workspace and Slack. Experience and interest in AI-powered content tools (Claude) and social media management are a plus.
Skills:
- High Accountability: Ability to own processes end-to-end without constant supervision.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills with a "Stanford-appropriate" tone.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Comfortable initiating outreach and building relationships with internal teams, network chapters, and external partners across business and ecosystem contexts; At ease in event settings.
- Multitasking: Comfortable managing a distributed workload across marketing, logistics, data collection, and network management.
Additional Requirements: Must have legal authorization to work in India and a willingness to travel for regional events. Work Location: This position is based in India, with flexibility regarding the specific work location; candidates are not required to be based in Chennai. The role may be performed remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, depending on the candidate’s location and business needs.
