Quantity Surveyor (Civil & Interiors)

The Quantity Surveyor Civil & Interiors is responsible for quantity estimation, cost management, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, billing, procurement support, variation management, and commercial control for civil and interior projects. The role ensures accurate measurement and effective control of project costs from tendering through completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates, and cost plans for civil and interior works.
- Review architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design drawings to identify project quantities.
- Conduct site measurements and verify executed quantities.
- Prepare rate analysis for civil, finishing, and interior works.
- Prepare project budgets and assist in establishing cost benchmarks.
- Prepare tender documents, enquiries, comparison statements, and subcontractor packages.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Negotiate rates and commercial terms with subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepare work orders, subcontract agreements, and commercial documentation.




- Measure and certify contractor/subcontractor work progress.
- Verify interim payment applications and prepare payment certificates.
- Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets.
- Track material consumption, wastage, and cost variations.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders, extra items, and deviation statements.
- Maintain proper records of approved and pending variations.
- Assist the project team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options.
- Reconcile BOQ quantities with actual site quantities and material consumption.
- Prepare final accounts and support project close-out.
- Review subcontractor claims and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, architects, designers, procurement teams, and finance departments.
- Maintain cost reports, quantity records, contracts, invoices, and commercial documentation.
- Provide regular cost and commercial reports to management.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying
