Role Outline The ERP Engineer – Microsoft Business Central is responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions, with a strong focus on AL development, integrations, automation and technical solution delivery.

This is primarily a technical role, but the successful candidate should also have a good functional understanding of Business Central and financial processes so they can translate business requirements into practical ERP solutions.

The role will work closely with ERP Functional Analysts, Finance, Product, Technology and implementation teams to support Quantaco’s ongoing MSBC development and NetSuite-to-MSBC migration program.

K****ey responsibilities

- Design, develop, test and maintain Microsoft Business Central extensions using AL.
- Develop new functionality using tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, events, APIs and other Business Central components.
- Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between MSBC and third-party applications using APIs and web services.
- Support automation of financial and operational processes within Business Central.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and technical MSBC issues.
- Support the ongoing NetSuite-to-MSBC migration, including migration tools, data validation and technical issue resolution.
- Perform technical, integration and regression testing for new developments and enhancements.
- Support deployment and release of Business Central extensions across sandbox and production environments.
- Maintain source code using Git and participate in code reviews.
- Work with functional resources to ensure solutions align with accounting and operational requirements.
- Support reporting and data requirements across MSBC, Jet Reports, Power BI and related platforms.




- Use approved AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity while ensuring all outputs are properly reviewed and tested.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for developments, integrations and system changes.

- Good understanding of Business Central financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Banking, Dimensions and Chart of Accounts.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging Business Central solutions.
- Experience with Git or another source-control platform.
- Understanding of software development, testing and release processes.
- Ability to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Python knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
