Role & responsibilities To ensure the quality of incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products while supporting and supervising day-to-day production activities. The role requires close coordination with Stores, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure products are manufactured and delivered in accordance with Strickland's quality standards and customer requirements.

- Inspect incoming materials and components against drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements.

- Perform in-process inspections at various stages of manufacturing and assembly.

- Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

- Well, known to CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Actions) documentation, control plan, Layout report, PDI report, Product audit.

- Verify dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometres, height gauges, and gauges.

- Lead root cause analysis investigations for supplier-related quality issues and develop action plans to address underlying causes via NCR.

- Shall prepare 8D reports, PPAP, APQP, PPM, MSA & FMEA reports.

- Work closely with cross-functional global teams, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to communicate quality requirements to suppliers and support supplier development activities.

- Responsible for Product Audit, Process Audit, Document Audit & Quality assurance plan.

- Before dispatch, generating and maintaining inspection related documentation.

- Assessing,



preparing and / or maintaining technical reports and documentation of products.

- Maintain supplier quality documentation, including supplier audit reports, corrective action plans, and performance records.

- Providing necessary assistance to another departments.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to supplier quality management.

- Supervise daily production activities to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.

- Support production planning and ensure timely completion of work orders.

- Report production delays, material shortages, and technical issues to management.

- Promote positive housekeeping and compliance with health and safety requirements on the shop floor.

Preferred candidate profile

- Must be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in-written.

- Must have at least bachelors degree (Full time) in mechanical engineering.

- Basic knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly.

- Experience of 2 - 4 years in similar position in heavy construction equipment manufacturing industry / automobile industry / similar industry

- Experience with quality tools/terminologies/methodologies used in manufacturing & assembly of steel fabrications, castings & forgings, machining.

- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus.

- Must be able to travel within India on short notice, when necessary.
