Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Quality to lead quality testing and quality assurance activities for a Ferro Alloy manufacturing unit. The role will be responsible for raw material testing, finished goods and slag quality, laboratory operations, documentation, and coordination with production, raw material, dispatch, purchase, and other teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead physical and chemical quality testing of raw materials such as iron ore, manganese ore, silica, quartz, coal, coke and dolomite.
- Oversee quality testing of finished goods, slag and ancillary unit outputs.
- Manage sample collection, yard material testing, cross-lab analysis and reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality tests in internal systems and SAP.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and machinery.
- Verify raw material receipt, documentation, sampling and quality grading.
- Monitor finished goods grading, storage and material mixing as per requirements.
- Ensure adherence to BIS and applicable quality standards.




- Support dispatch with quality certificates and required documentation.
- Manage shift schedules, manpower and daily quality reports.
- Lead the quality team and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety and regulatory requirements.

Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in raw material testing, preferably in the Ferro Alloy or Steel industry.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
