Quality Controller (FMCG)

Position: Quality Controller

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Industry: FMCG / Food & Beverage

Experience: 1 to 4 years preferred

Job Responsibilities

- Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine quality checks, sampling, and testing as per company SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor production processes and identify any quality deviations or defects.
- Maintain quality-related records, inspection reports, test reports, and checklists.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate with the Production team for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Check product appearance, taste, texture, weight, packaging, labeling, batch details, and expiry dates, as applicable.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and assist in finding the root cause.




- Ensure all production activities are carried out according to SOPs and quality standards.
- Report any major quality issues to the Quality Manager / Management.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of FMCG/food manufacturing quality control.
- Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality documentation and reporting.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Educational Qualification B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
