Responsible for inspecting fabrics at various stages of production to ensure that the material meets company, buyer, and customer quality standards. The position involves identifying fabric defects, checking specifications, maintaining quality records, and coordinating with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect fabric rolls for quality, appearance, construction, shade, and overall workmanship.

- Conduct fabric inspection according to approved quality standards and customer specifications.

- Identify and record fabric defects such as:

- Holes and cuts

- Stains and oil marks

- Slubs and knots

- Broken or missing yarns

- Crease marks

- Weaving/knitting defects

- Dyeing and printing defects

- Shade variation

- Finishing defects

- Perform fabric inspection using the 4-Point System or other applicable inspection methods.

- Check fabric width, GSM, length, construction, shade, shrinkage, and hand feel as required.

- Compare fabric quality with approved samples, specifications, and lab-dip/standard references.

- Check fabric rolls and ensure proper tagging, identification, and traceability.

- Separate and report defective or non-conforming fabric.

- Prepare daily fabric inspection reports and maintain quality records.

- Communicate quality problems to Production, Dyeing, Finishing, Weaving/Knitting, Merchandising, and other concerned departments.

- Support investigation of recurring defects and assist in identifying root causes.

- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to reduce fabric rejection and customer complaints.





- Conduct final inspection before fabric is released for cutting, production, or dispatch.

- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and buyer requirements.

- Maintain proper documentation of inspection results, defects, rejections, and corrective actions.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of fabric quality inspection and textile processes.

- Strong knowledge of fabric defects and their causes.

- Working knowledge of the 4-Point Fabric Inspection System.

- Ability to check fabric width, GSM, shade, shrinkage, construction, and other specifications.

- Good observation and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to prepare inspection and quality reports.

- Good communication and coordination with production and other departments.

- Ability to work under production deadlines.

- Knowledge of AQL and customer quality standards is an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma/Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, or a related field.

- Previous experience in Fabric Quality Control / Fabric Inspection / Textile QC preferred.

- Experience in textile mills, garment factories, buying houses, or fabric suppliers is an advantage.

Pay: ₹8,838.73 - ₹46,451.57 per month
