We are looking for responsible, alert and disciplined Quality Checkers to work under the Quality Manager and ensure that every garment meets the required quality standards before moving to the next stage.

This is a hands-on factory-floor role. The checker must be comfortable rejecting incorrect work, recording defects properly, and following up until the piece is corrected and rechecked.

Key Responsibilities

- Check garments at different stages of production, including cutting, stitching, finishing and packing.
- Inspect workmanship, measurements, stitching, seams, trims, embroidery/printing, finishing and overall appearance.
- Compare production pieces against approved samples, specifications and buyer requirements.
- Identify defects clearly and do not allow defective pieces to pass forward.
- Mark and segregate rejected or rework pieces properly.
- Record all defects accurately in the daily quality report or system.
- Ensure rejected pieces are sent back to the concerned tailor, supervisor or department for correction.
- Recheck every rectified piece before approving it.
- Maintain proper count of:
- pieces checked
- pieces passed
- pieces rejected
- pieces sent for rework
- pieces still pending correction
- Inform the Quality Manager immediately if the same defect is repeating across multiple pieces.
- Conduct inline checks during production instead of waiting until the final stage.
- Check measurements and workmanship according to the required tolerance.
- Ensure finishing, ironing, thread cutting, folding,



tagging and packing are correct before approval.
- Check garments carefully for stains, holes, loose threads, broken stitches, skipped stitches, puckering, measurement issues and other workmanship defects.
- Follow all quality instructions given by the Quality Manager.
- Maintain discipline and accuracy even during high-production or urgent-shipment periods.
- Never approve a piece simply because production is under pressure or the shipment is urgent.

- Able to communicate clearly with tailors, supervisors and production teams
- Willing to learn buyer-specific quality standards
- Able to maintain proper written or digital inspection records
- Someone who takes pride in ensuring that only correct garments move forward

Experience

2–5+ years of garment quality checking experience preferred.

Experience in a garment export house and knowledge of inline inspection, final inspection, measurements and AQL procedures will be an advantage.

Most Important Principle The Quality Checker is not responsible only for finding the defect.

They are responsible for making sure:

Defect found → piece rejected → correction done → piece rechecked → only then passed.

A checker should never mark something as rejected and assume someone else will take care of it. The job is complete only when the issue is properly closed.
