Role & Responsibilities:

- Define and own the overall QA Automation strategy and roadmap across applications and products.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks for UI, API, mobile, and backend testing.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools, technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, design patterns, and quality gates for QA teams.
- Lead the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Develop automation solutions using languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Implement automated testing using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, Appium, or equivalent technologies.
- Design and implement API, UI, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end automation suites.
- Identify suitable test cases for automation and continuously improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution time.
- Integrate automation frameworks with cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and test execution platforms where applicable.
- Define and monitor QA metrics, automation coverage, defect trends, test execution results, and quality KPIs.
- Troubleshoot complex automation failures and improve framework stability and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, DevOps, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering Leads.




- Conduct technical reviews of automation code and ensure adherence to engineering and quality standards.
- Mentor and guide QA Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Engineers on automation architecture and best practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- 8-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, SDET, or Quality Engineering.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level automation frameworks.
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in at least one up-to-date UI automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Strong experience with API automation and testing, preferably using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent tools.
- Positive understanding of software architecture, design patterns, OOP, data structures, and clean coding practices.
- Strong experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Good understanding of SQL, databases, microservices, REST APIs, messaging systems, and distributed applications.
- Experience with test management, defect tracking, reporting, and QA metrics.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development practices.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior and senior QA engineers.
