Gulmohar Lane is a premium furniture and home décor brand rooted in craftsmanship, material richness, and timeless design. We are expanding our product range and digital presence, and are looking for a Graphic Designer who can contribute across physical product design and digital visualization.

We are looking for a Quality Control Executive with a strong background in textiles and soft materials to ensure that our products meet the required quality, finish, construction, and specification standards.

The primary focus of this role will be the quality inspection of fabrics, cushions, lampshades, and smaller home décor/accessory products. The role will work closely with the Merchandising team and suppliers/manufacturers to identify quality issues, ensure specifications are followed, and maintain consistent product standards.

### Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality inspections of fabrics, cushions, lampshades, upholstery, and smaller accessories.

Check products against approved samples, specifications, measurements, materials, colours, finishes, and quality standards.

Identify defects, inconsistencies, damages, or deviations from approved standards.

Inspect fabric quality, including weaving, stitching, color, texture, finish, printing, stains, defects, and overall appearance.

Check cushions and soft furnishings for dimensions, stitching, filling, shape, construction, finishing, and workmanship

Carry out quality checks at appropriate stages of production and/or before dispatch.

Document quality issues and communicate findings clearly to the Merchandising team and suppliers.

Work closely with merchandisers to ensure products are manufactured according to approved samples and specifications.

Follow up with suppliers/manufacturers on corrective actions and ensure quality issues are resolved.

Maintain quality inspection records and reports.

Help establish and maintain quality standards and inspection checklists for different product categories.





Support the team in identifying recurring quality issues and recommending improvements.

Ensure consistency in quality across different suppliers and production batches.

Knowledge of wood and metal products will be an added advantage, particularly for candidates with experience across multiple home décor/product categories.

### Required Skills & Experience

Prior experience in textile quality control is essential.

Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, stitching, construction, finishing, and soft materials.

Experience in QC within home furnishings, soft furnishings, textiles, furniture, décor, or related industries is preferred.

Good eye for detail and ability to identify even minor quality or finishing issues.

Ability to understand and work with product specifications, measurements, samples, and quality standards.

Good communication and coordination skills, particularly when working with merchandisers and suppliers.

Ability to prepare clear inspection reports and communicate quality concerns effectively.

Willingness to travel to supplier/manufacturer locations for inspections, where required.

### Reporting & Collaboration The Quality Control Executive will work closely with the Merchandising team, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure products meet the required quality standards before approval and dispatch.

The ideal candidate will have a strong textile QC background, a sharp eye for detail, and practical experience inspecting soft furnishings and home décor products.

Experience with wood and metal products would be an added advantage but is not essential.
