Role Description The QC Manager – Upholstered Furniture is a full-time, on-site role based at our Jodhpur facility. This role is responsible for overseeing quality control for upholstered furniture production, including incoming material inspections, in-process checks, and final product audits. The QC Manager monitors compliance with product specifications, finishes, comfort standards, and durability requirements, and implements corrective actions when quality deviations are identified.

Daily tasks include leading and mentoring QC staff, maintaining quality documentation, coordinating with production and design teams, and reporting key quality metrics to management. The role also involves continuous improvement initiatives, development of standard operating procedures,



and ensuring that all products meet international quality expectations for export markets.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in quality control and assurance for upholstered or solid wood furniture, metal, glass and fabrics/leathers including inspection methods and defect analysis.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery construction, materials, cushioning, hardware, and finishing processes relevant to export-quality furniture.
- Experience in setting up and managing QC processes, SOPs, and quality standards for large-scale manufacturing environments.
- Ability to lead, train, and supervise QC teams, with skills in performance monitoring and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, QC checklists, production tracking systems).
- Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and international quality expectations for furniture destined for US and European markets.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Production, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field; relevant experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Prior experience in a similar QC leadership role within furniture manufacturing, ideally with OEM or export-focused operations.
