About the Role

We are looking for a QA professional with strong maritime domain knowledge to test Tesseract ERP and ensure reliable end-to-end shipping workflows across vessel, crew, payroll, travel, compliance and operations modules.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform functional, integration, regression, system and UAT testing.
- Create test scenarios, test cases and test data for maritime workflows.
- Test crew, vessel, contracts, joining/sign-off, travel, certification, payroll and compliance processes.
- Validate business rules, calculations, approvals, permissions and data integrity.
- Perform API testing using Postman and database validation using SQL/MySQL.
- Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
- Support release testing, production issues and root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with Product, Developers, Business Analysts and maritime users.

Required Skills
- 3+ years QA/testing experience.
- Hands-on Marine/Shipping/Maritime domain experience – mandatory.
- Strong functional and end-to-end testing skills.




- API testing with Postman.
- Basic/intermediate SQL.
- Experience with ERP/business applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Valuable to Have
- Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or other automation tools.
- Jira, Git, CI/CD and performance testing.
- Experience with crew management, ship management or maritime ERP systems.
- Knowledge of maritime payroll, compliance and certification workflows.

Preferred Background Ship Management Companies | Ship Owners/Operators | Manning/Crewing Agencies | Maritime ERP/Software Companies | Crew/Vessel Management Systems.

Candidates with marine/crewing operations experience who have moved into QA are especially encouraged to apply.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Maritime Studies or related field preferred. Relevant maritime experience may be considered.
