As a QA Engineer – AI Platform, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, security, and performance of API-driven and AI-enabled platform capabilities. You will work across API gateways, MCP, client applications, downstream integrations, and AI workflow orchestration layers.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Design, document, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for the Apigee API gateway, MCP Server, MCP App, and related platform components.

· Test AI-related scenarios, including request and response handling, context propagation, prompt/request construction, tool invocation behavior, response validation, error handling, and fallback flows.

· Validate end-to-end flows across clients, API gateway configurations, MCP server, MCP App and downstream integrations

· Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, performance, scalability, and reliability testing for APIs and AI-driven workflows.

· Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using tools such as Newman, or REST Assured

· Validate security implementations, including authentication, authorization, and threat protection mechanisms

· Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating testing into automated delivery processes





· Analyze logs and metrics to support defect investigation and continuous improvement

· Work closely with engineers and architects to identify defects early and improve overall quality

· 4+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance, preferably in API, platform, or distributed application environments.

· Strong hands-on experience in Manual, Functional, Integration, System, and Regression Testing.

· Strong experience in API Testing, including RESTful services, REST APIs, API-first design, and API automation.

· Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Newman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

· Experience in Selenium WebDriver Automation Testing.

· Experience in developing and maintaining Selenium automation frameworks and reusable test scripts.

· Good programming experience in Python or Java for test automation.

· Experience with End-to-End (E2E) testing and integration testing in distributed systems.

· Experience validating API Gateway implementations, preferably Apigee or similar API gateway platforms.

· Strong understanding of authentication and security testing, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.

· Strong knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL for database validation and data verification.

· Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines,



including integration of automated tests into build pipelines.

· Familiarity with test automation frameworks and automation best practices.

· Experience in testing large-scale API platforms and distributed applications.

· Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams.

· Good experience in Test Case Design, Test Execution, Defect Tracking, Defect Reporting, and Regression Testing.

· Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to independently identify, document, communicate, and track defects through resolution.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers.

Nice to have:

· Experience with Playwright or similar E2E testing tools.

· Understanding of Microservices Architecture and testing of cloud-based applications.

· Exposure to AI/LLM-based applications and AI-driven testing approaches.

· Understanding of AI interaction patterns, including context handling, prompt-based interactions, tool invocation, and response validation.

· Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI/tool integration architecture.

· Experience with Performance Testing using JMeter or k6.

· Familiarity with Observability and Monitoring tools, such as Grafana and Prometheus.

· Exposure to Docker and Azure/cloud environments.

· Knowledge of Security Testing and basic application security validation.
