Engineering Manager – Software Development

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- Proven experience delivering enterprise software products in Agile environments with end-to-end ownership.

- Experience working directly with customers, product management, and cross-functional engineering organizations.

Essential Skills

Technical Expertise

- 14+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership and team mentoring.

- Robust hands-on expertise in Python development, RESTful architecture, and REST API development using FastAPI and Uvicorn (ASGI, async/await programming, and concurrency patterns)

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, including service decomposition, consolidation, and inter-service communication.

- Strong knowledge in Object-Oriented Design, SOLID Principles & Design Patterns.

- Proven experience in Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture, designing API layers that consolidate and tailor data from multiple backend services, streamline UI interactions, and simplify front-end integration while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Strong experience in SQL Database Technologies

- Experience in Authentication & Authorization – OAuth2, JWT, SSO, OpenID Connect, and API security implementation.





- Strong understanding of API versioning, rate limiting, caching, and security best practices.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across backend services, APIs, databases, logs, front-end issues, and deployment environments.

- Strong knowledge in Logging, Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Production support, observability, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.

- Solid understanding of software testing strategies, including unit, integration, API, and regression testing.

Preferred Skills

- Experience developing software for scientific instruments, laboratory automation, imaging systems, life sciences, healthcare technologies, medical devices, industrial automation, or other hardware-integrated software platforms.

- Knowledge in modern front-end technologies for application integration and troubleshooting.

- Angular v17 experience is a major plus, especially for integrating BFF routes with user workflows and helping front-end debugging.

- Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled software development environments.

- Working knowledge of Containerized technologies, Kubernetes and container orchestration.

- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, especially for Python services, release builds, SBOM generation, and automated test execution.

Pay: Up to ₹2,500,000.00 per year
