Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Engineer role located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

The Purchasing

Engineer will manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including vendor sourcing, preparing and processing purchase orders, and coordinating materials procurement for electrical control panels and turnkey projects. The role involves monitoring purchase plans, tracking deliveries, and ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Engineer will analyze cost, lead times, and supplier performance, maintain accurate purchasing records, and collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project teams.





Responsibilities also include supporting negotiations with suppliers, optimizing purchasing processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of purchasing processes and purchase management, with experience handling vendor interactions and procurement workflows.
- Ability to perform purchase planning and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate material availability for projects.
- Strong analytical skills to compare quotations, evaluate supplier performance, and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Background in electrical, electronics, or industrial engineering, preferably with exposure to control panels or electrical projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP or procurement software for documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple purchase requirements within strict timelines.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
