Role Summary The Purchase Manager leads end-to-end procurement of construction materials, plant and services across all live projects. Combining a civil engineering background with commercial acumen, the role ensures materials are sourced at the right price, quality and time, vendors are developed and managed and procurement is fully compliant with the company's cost, quality and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute procurement of civil materials (cement, steel, aggregates, RMC, blocks, electrical& plumbing items, finishing materials, etc.) in line with project schedules and indents.
- Consolidate site indents, prepare procurement plans and issue enquiries, comparative statementsand purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base; evaluate suppliers on price, quality, delivery, capacityand credit terms.
- Negotiate rates, payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve target cost savings withoutcompromising quality.
- Coordinate closely with the Planning and Stores teams to ensure just-in-time delivery and avoidstock-outs or over-stocking.




- Track and control material budgets against BOQ / estimated cost; report variances and drive costreductioninitiatives.
- Ensure procurement compliance with GST, TDS and other statutory requirements; verify vendorinvoices, e-way bills and documentation.
- Manage rate contracts, framework agreements and vendor performance reviews.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase registers and management reports (savings, pending POs,vendor ageing).

Required Skills & Competencies

- Robust knowledge of construction materials, specifications, market rates and sources of supply inTamil Nadu / South India.
- Proven negotiation, vendor management and cost-control ability.
- Working knowledge of procurement / ERP modules and MS Excel; familiarity with GST andstatutory documentation in purchasing.
- Good coordination, ethics and decision-making under project deadlines.

Experience: 6–8 years in construction procurement, including time in acomparable Purchase Manager role

Pay: From ₹60,000.00 per month
