- Buying knowledge of Raw Material like steel plates ,Electrical, Hydraulic& Pneumatic items, Oil & Lubricants , Bearings and capital goods .
- Knowledge and conversant with auction/disposal of scrap.
- Knowledge of Stores management & Inventory control is preferred.
- MIS preparation such as Monthly Review reports related to Materials deptt.
- Willing to travel frequently in India for follow ups
- Excellent negotiation skills for getting competitive pricing &to; focus on savings on materials.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Taxes & duties applicable on indigenous & overseas procurement.
- Experience in rate contracts.
- Knowledge of working on computers including word, excel, power point & SAP/ERP.
- Commitment to provide quality product at right price at right time.
- To implement innovate cost reduction measures to procure the material at lowest possible price.
Preferred Candidate profile:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engg OR Degree in Mechanical Engg with 10-14 (Diploma) or 5 -8 (Degree) years of experience having more than 60% marks throughout his academic record.
- Additional qualification in Materials Management is preferred.
- Experience of Procurement in engineering/capital goods manufacturing company.
