Nesans manufactures crushing, screening, washing and mineral processing equipment. The Purchase function keeps the shop floor supplied raw material, bought-out components, consumables and subcontract services. As a Junior Associate you will work alongside the purchase and stores team, learning the full procure-to-pay cycle on live orders from day one. This is a training-oriented role with a structured path to Associate Purchase on confirmation.

Key responsibilities

1. Raise and float RFQs to approved vendors; collate and compare quotations on price, lead time and payment terms.

2. Prepare purchase orders in ERPNext against approved indents; ensure item codes, rates, tax and delivery terms are correct before submission.

3. Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgement, dispatch schedules and delivery commitments; escalate delays that affect production plans.

4. Coordinate with Stores on GRN, quantity and quality acceptance, and short/damaged supply claims.

5. Verify supplier invoices against PO and GRN rate, quantity, GST rate, HSN and GSTIN — and route for booking.

6. Maintain vendor master data, price lists and supplier documentation (GST certificate, MSME registration, bank details).

7. Assist in vendor development — identifying and evaluating new sources for MS plates, fabricated items,



bearings, motors, fasteners and consumables.

8. Track inbound logistics, transporter coordination and freight documentation.

9. Maintain purchase registers, pending PO reports and monthly spend summaries.

10. Support the team during audits, stock verification and supplier reconciliation.

Requirements

- Graduate in any discipline, 2024–2026 pass-outs preferred.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, filters, pivot tables) — will be tested at interview.

- Transparent written and spoken communication in English and Tamil; Hindi is an added advantage for North India vendor coordination.

- Basic understanding of GST invoicing is desirable but not mandatory — training will be provided.

- Willingness to work from the Madukkarai plant and spend time on the shop floor and in stores.

- Attention to detail, follow-up discipline and comfort with numbers.
