About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate, energetic, and highly skilled Public Speaking Tutor to teach students from Grades 1 to 12 through engaging live online classes.
The ideal candidate should be able to help students become confident, explicit, expressive, and persuasive speakers through structured lessons and interactive practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging 1-on-1 online public speaking sessions.
- Teach students according to their age and speaking level.
- Develop students':
- Speaking confidence
- Fluency and clarity
- Articulation and pronunciation
- Voice modulation
- Storytelling
- Impromptu speaking
- Persuasive speaking
- Speech organization
- Debate and argumentation
- Stage presence
- Help students prepare and deliver speeches.
- Give constructive and encouraging feedback.
- Conduct practice activities, speaking challenges, and presentation exercises.
- Track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Adapt lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners.
Requirements
- Excellent spoken English and robust communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate children and teenagers.
- Experience in teaching, tutoring,
training, coaching, or public speaking is preferred.
- A clear, expressive, and confident speaking style.
- Ability to explain concepts in a simple and engaging way.
- Comfortable teaching online using video conferencing platforms.
- Reliable internet connection and a professional teaching environment.
- Availability during U.S. working hours/evening hours, depending on student scheduling.
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching Grades 1–12.
- Experience teaching ESL or international students.
- Knowledge of speech frameworks such as PREP, STAR, PEEL, and persuasive speaking structures.
- Experience with storytelling, debate, impromptu speaking, and speech writing.
- Ability to make classes fun, interactive, and student-centered.
