Proposals Engineer (Hi-Purity Water Systems)

Location: Navi Mumbai | Full-Time | Office Based Experience: 2–5 Years | Industry: Pharma / Biotech / Hi-Purity Water Systems

Job Summary The Proposals Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals and tender submissions specifically for Aquamech's Hi-Purity Water & UPW Systems including Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Highly Purified Water (HPW), and Ultra Pure Water (UPW) systems for pharmaceutical, biotech, and semiconductor clients. The role requires a solid understanding of Hi-Purity system design, cGMP compliance, and the ability to translate complex client requirements into well-structured technical and commercial offers.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and analyse client enquiries, RFQs, and BOQs for Hi-Purity Water & UPW system projects
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, costing sheets, and bid documents for PW, WFI, HPW, RO EDI, HSRO EDI, and UPW systems
- Develop equipment selection, system sizing, process descriptions, and technical write-ups compliant with ASME BPE, cGMP, and USFDA requirements
- Coordinate with the engineering and procurement teams to build accurate cost estimates, material lists, and project timelines
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for equipment and material quotations specific to Hi-Purity system components
- Review tender documents and specifications for compliance with pharma regulatory standards




- Maintain a proposal library of standard Hi-Purity system write-ups, datasheets, and past submissions
- Track submitted proposals and provide technical clarifications to clients and their QA/validation teams
- Prepare pre-qualification documents and company profile submissions for pharma and biotech clients
- Support the sales team with technical inputs during client meetings and vendor qualification processes

Qualifications & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in proposal preparation or estimation specifically for Hi-Purity Water or pharma utility systems
- Strong knowledge of Hi-Purity Water systems PW, WFI, HPW, RO EDI, UPW, and distribution loops
- Familiarity with ASME BPE, cGMP, USFDA, and ISPE guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, GA drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications
- Understanding of stainless steel piping, orbital welding, and passivation requirements
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience dealing with pharma or biotech procurement and QA teams is a strong advantage
