About the RoleICAR-CIFA invites applications for the position of Project Manager under the Gates Foundation-funded project “Productive, Profitable, and Resilient Aquaculture Systems.”

The Project Manager will support the overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and documentation of this multidisciplinary aquaculture development project, including activities at ICAR-CIFA and field demonstration sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate overall project implementation at ICAR-CIFA and project demonstration sites.
- Prepare and maintain work plans, activity calendars, meeting records, action-taken reports and progress reports.
- Coordinate with the Principal Investigator, Co-PIs, finance and procurement sections, project partners, hatchery teams, field staff and demonstration-site teams.
- Track project milestones, training programmes, field demonstrations, data submissions, evidence records, compliance requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Support project budgeting,



scheduling and monitoring.
- Coordinate financial and procurement follow-up related to project implementation.
- Document innovations, success stories, field evidence, photographs and materials required for project/donor reporting.

Essential Qualification
- Doctoral Degree in Science; OR
- Master’s degree in Management / Agribusiness Management or related discipline.

Preferred Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in aquaculture/agriculture project implementation or management.
- Experience in societal development projects, monitoring and reporting, documentation, finance and procurement follow-up.
- Robust leadership, financial and regulatory-management skills.
- Experience in planning, budgeting, scheduling and project-progress monitoring.
- Familiarity with project-management tools such as MS Project or Trello.
- Fisheries/aquaculture project experience preferred.
