Role purpose The Project Engineer - ELV Systems will be responsible for the execution, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of ELV projects assigned by Howell Protection Systems India Pvt. Ltd. The incumbent will translate approved drawings, BOQs and technical specifications into safe, high-quality site execution while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.

This is a hands-on, site-based engineering role with accountability for project schedules, workmanship, documentation, manpower coordination, material control, safety compliance and successful system commissioning.

Key responsibilities

- Execute assigned ELV projects in accordance with approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
- Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public-address, BMS, structured-cabling, networking and other integrated ELV systems.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, schematics, cable schedules, equipment layouts and technical submittals before execution.
- Plan daily and weekly site activities; allocate work to supervisors, technicians, helpers and subcontractors; and monitor productivity against agreed targets.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, MEP contractors, civil contractors, vendors and internal departments to resolve site and technical dependencies.
- Conduct site surveys, verify installation readiness and identify access, power, containment, interface and infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer recommendations, applicable standards, approved quality requirements and client expectations.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, look-ahead plans, inspection requests, checklists, testing reports, material records and site correspondence.
- Monitor material requirements, raise timely indents, verify deliveries against approved specifications and maintain proper material reconciliation.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, scope gaps, variation items and site constraints; escalate them promptly with supporting details and proposed solutions.
- Coordinate system integration, functional testing, client demonstrations,



snag closure and final commissioning.
- Support measurement verification, billing documentation, variation claims and certification of completed work.
- Prepare as-built drawings, operation and maintenance inputs, test certificates, handover dossiers and other project-closeout documents.
- Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and provide accurate updates on progress, risks, resources, materials and client concerns.
- Ensure safe work practices, appropriate PPE, toolbox talks, permit compliance and responsible use of company assets at all project locations.
- Minimise rework, material wastage and avoidable delays through effective planning, supervision and quality checks.

Project coordination and site governance
- Develop activity-wise execution plans and coordinate interfaces with all relevant agencies before work begins.
- Participate in project-review meetings and maintain explicit action trackers with responsibilities and target dates.
- Manage inspections, punch lists and snag rectification to achieve timely customer acceptance.
- Maintain disciplined site records and ensure that all instructions, approvals, changes and delays are appropriately documented.
- Support the Project Manager in controlling schedule, cost, quality, safety and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Required experience and qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of relevant project-execution experience in the ELV industry; candidates with 7-10 years of directly relevant experience will be preferred.
- Experience must be exclusively or substantially with an ELV systems integrator, ELV contractor or integrated security and building-systems organisation.
- B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Telecommunications or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Only candidates holding a B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma qualification in a relevant engineering discipline will be considered.
- Hands-on knowledge of ELV installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and system integration.
- Ability to interpret BOQs, technical specifications, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, layouts and engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD,



MS Office and project reporting/documentation tools.
- Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, materials, quality inspections and client coordination.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical and progress reports.
- Willingness to travel, relocate or work at project sites based on organisational requirements.

The ideal candidate can independently coordinate project activities, lead site teams, resolve practical challenges, maintain accurate documentation and deliver commissioned systems that meet Howell's quality, safety and customer-service standards.

Candidates may be deployed at New Delhi, Bengaluru, Goa or Kaithal, depending on project requirements. Candidates available to join at short notice will be preferred.
