Project Coordinator – Interior Execution, Procurement & Cost ControlJob Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Interior Project Coordinator with solid hands-on knowledge of interior execution, civil works, estimation, costing, procurement, vendor management and project coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects from quotation and client approval through procurement, execution, quality control and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Mandatory Requirement

Prior hands-on experience in interior execution is mandatory.

Candidates with only general civil construction, office administration or estimation experience without practical interior execution experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities1. Interior Project Coordination

- Coordinate complete interior projects from start to completion.
- Understand architectural, interior and working drawings.
- Prepare project activity schedules and execution plans.
- Coordinate designers, site supervisors, contractors, vendors and clients.
- Track daily and weekly project progress.
- Identify delays and coordinate corrective action.
- Ensure activities are completed as per planned TAT.

1. Interior Execution

Candidate must have practical knowledge of:
- Modular kitchens
- Wardrobes and storage
- Carpentry and furniture works
- False ceiling
- Flooring and tiling
- Painting and polishing
- Electrical works
- Plumbing works
- Civil modifications
- Waterproofing
- Doors and hardware
- Glass and aluminium
- Fabrication
- Sanitary and fixtures
- Final finishing and snag rectification

Should be able to understand how the work is actually executed at site, including sequencing, manpower, materials, measurements and dependencies.

1. Estimation, Costing & Quotations

- Prepare project quantities and BOQs.
- Understand material specifications and rates.
- Prepare detailed project cost sheets.
- Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare client quotations.
- Check material, labour, wastage and subcontractor costs.
- Identify scope gaps before quotation and execution.
- Track approved project cost against actual expenditure.
- Record and control additional works and variations.

1. Procurement & Material Planning

- Prepare material requirement schedules based on project activities.
- Raise purchase/material requirements in advance.
- Obtain supplier quotations and negotiate rates.
- Place/coordinate purchase orders.




- Track material availability and delivery.
- Ensure materials reach site before they are required.
- Check quantities and specifications received at site.
- Maintain material inward and purchase records.
- Control material wastage and unnecessary stock.

1. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Coordinate carpenters, civil contractors, electricians, plumbers, painters, fabricators and other interior vendors.
- Obtain competitive rates.
- Allocate work and communicate specifications clearly.
- Track manpower deployment.
- Follow up on committed delivery and completion dates.
- Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality and TAT.
- Coordinate measurements and work completion certification.
- Escalate repeated delays or quality issues.

1. Site Coordination

- Coordinate day-to-day site execution.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Check site readiness before starting activities.
- Coordinate sequencing between civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and finishing works.
- Monitor actual progress against planned quantities.
- Identify issues early and arrange resolution.
- Minimise rework and site stoppages.

1. Cost Control

- Maintain project budget and actual-cost tracking.
- Monitor material purchases, labour and subcontractor costs.
- Identify cost overruns at an early stage.
- Control wastage and unnecessary purchases.
- Ensure additional work is properly recorded and approved.
- Prepare project cost-to-completion updates.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure materials conform to approved specifications.
- Monitor workmanship and finishing quality.
- Coordinate inspections at important execution stages.
- Maintain snag lists.
- Follow up on rectification.
- Ensure all defects are closed before handover.

1. TAT & Project Monitoring

Maintain a clear tracker covering:
- Activity
- Planned start
- Planned completion
- Actual completion
- Material requirement date
- Purchase date
- Delivery date
- Vendor commitment
- Current status
- Delay reason
- Corrective action

Every major activity should have an owner and target completion date.

1. Project Documentation

Maintain updated:
- BOQ
- Approved quotation




- Drawings and revisions
- Material specifications
- Vendor quotations
- Purchase orders
- Material requirement schedules
- Material inward records
- Site progress reports
- Measurement sheets
- Vendor bills
- Variation/additional-work records
- Snag lists
- Project completion and handover records

- 2 years of hands-on interior execution experience
- Experience in residential/commercial interior projects
- Practical experience coordinating multiple interior trades
- Experience with vendors and subcontractors
- Knowledge of interior materials and execution methods
- Experience with BOQ, estimation, costing and quotations
- Good understanding of site measurements and quantities
- Valuable Excel/Google Sheets knowledge

Preferred
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Interior, Construction or related field
- Experience in villa, apartment or premium residential interiors
- AutoCAD knowledge
- Experience in procurement and material planning
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local interior material suppliers and subcontractors

Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and execution-oriented.

The person should be able to:

Understand the drawing → calculate the requirement → obtain the rate → prepare the quotation → procure the material → coordinate the vendor → monitor execution → control cost → maintain TAT → close the project.

The candidate should not be merely an administrative coordinator. They must have real interior execution knowledge and the ability to take ownership of project coordination from start to finish.

Reporting

Reports to: Project Manager / Management

Core Responsibility

Interior Execution + Cost + Procurement + Vendors + TAT + Quality The ultimate responsibility is to ensure that every project is delivered on time, at the right cost, with the right quality and with minimum client follow-up and management intervention.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
