Position: Project Coordinator
Location: District HQ (Punjab)
Reporting to: Project Director
Employment Type: Full-time/Contractual
Working Days: 6 days/ week
Travel: Up to 20 days/ month
About the Program: Bahaar Foundation is implementing a large-scale Community Health Entrepreneur (CHE) Program in Punjab, India, to establish 6000 CHEs (one per village) over the next 2 years. The program will empower local women to serve as first-level health access points for their communities, offering preventive, promotive, and basic curative services in partnership with government systems and private stakeholders.
The Project Coordinator will serve as the district-level operational lead responsible for CHE activation, onboarding, training coordination, field supervision, stakeholder convergence, and performance management. The role requires strong field leadership, problem-solving capability, and regular engagement with communities, CHEs, and government systems.
Each Project
Coordinator will oversee approximately 500–600 CHEs within assigned districts and ensure sustained field engagement, service delivery, and program implementation quality, working closely with government agencies and partner organisations.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
Graduate in Social Work, Public Health, Rural Development, or related field. Postgraduation a plus
Experience
5+ years of professional experience in community development, public health, women’s empowerment and livelihood programs.
Minimum 3 years in field coordination roles across multiple blocks/districts.
Prior experience working with ASHA, ANM, SHG, or community health/ livelihood workers preferred.
Skills
Strong coordination, field management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills in Punjabi and Hindi; English preferred
Ability to travel extensively (up to 15–20 days/month)
Comfort with digital tools, mobile apps, and MS Office for reporting.
