Roles and Responsibilities

A. Production Planning and Target Achievement

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per approved schedules.
- Coordinate production plans with Sales, Dispatch, Procurement, and Plant Management.
- Plan production according to product demand and finished goods inventory.
- Monitor production capacity and identify bottlenecks.
- Ensure timely completion of production batches.

B. Zinc Sulphate Manufacturing Operations Manage and control the production process for Zinc Sulphate products.

Key responsibilities include

- Ensure correct charging of Zinc Oxide, Zinc Scrap or other approved zinc-bearing raw materials.
- Control sulphuric acid charging and reaction parameters.
- Monitor temperature, concentration, pH, and reaction completion.
- Control filtration and removal of insoluble impurities.
- Monitor crystallization and drying operations.
- Ensure proper granulation, if applicable.
- Control product moisture and particle size.
- Ensure final Zinc content meets approved specifications.
- Minimize zinc losses during processing and handling.

C. Magnesium Sulphate Manufacturing Operations Manage the production process for Magnesium Sulphate products.

Key responsibilities include

- Ensure correct charging of Magnesium Oxide and Sulphuric Acid as per approved formulation.
- Control raw material quality and purity.
- Monitor reaction parameters and completion.
- Control temperature during acid addition and reaction.
- Monitor concentration and crystallization conditions.
- Control drying and moisture levels.




- Ensure proper product mixing and homogenization.
- Achieve specified Magnesium and Sulphur content.
- Minimize raw material and product losses.

1. Process Control and Optimization

- Establish and monitor standard operating parameters.
- Ensure batch-wise compliance with approved production formulations.
- Monitor material consumption against standard norms.
- Investigate deviations in production yield.
- Reduce process losses and rejections.
- Improve production cycle time.
- Optimize energy, steam, fuel, and power consumption.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Maintain batch manufacturing records.
- Oversee daily production operations at the micro nutrient plant, ensuring effective use of resources and meeting quality standards.
- Manage breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for operation maintenance activities, including mechanical maintenance scheduling.
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the fertilizers/pesticides/agrochemical industry.
- Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, including breakdown management, operation maintenance, and mechanical maintenance principles.
