Role & responsibilities

Production Planning

- Prepare and implement daily/weekly production plans.
- Coordinate production schedules according to customer orders and dispatch requirements.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging materials, manpower, and machinery.

Prodution Monitoring

- Monitor daily production activities and output.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Track production performance and identify delays or bottlenecks.

Manpower Mangement

- Allocate work to production operators and workers.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and work performance.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other departments regarding manpower requirements.

Quality & Process Control

- Ensure production is carried out according to approved SOPs and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality/QA department for inspections and testing.
- Identify production defects and take corrective actions.

Inventory & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores/Purchase for timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Maintain proper production and material records.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine performance during production.
- Report breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team.
- Ensure machines are available and fit for production.

Documentation & Reporting





- Maintain daily production reports, batch records, and production data.
- Prepare reports on production quantity, efficiency, rejection, wastage, and downtime.
- Update management regarding production status and issues.

Cost & Waste Control

- Monitor material usage and production costs.
- Reduce wastage, rejection, rework, and unnecessary downtime.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure workers follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe production setting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable manufacturing and workplace standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per the standard SOPs

- Quality and Safety compliance: Ensure that the products meet the relevant safety and quality parameters set by the company

- Operational management: Manage the downtime, shifting time, material wastage etc

Store: Manage RM, PM and FG storage

- QC: Manage QC along with production, both, chemical as well as instrument room

- Records: Maintain all production records like BMR, raw material logs, yield reports and any other records required for audit purposes.

Team supervision: Supervising the factory workers on operations, machine handling, safety, maintenance, process efficiency etc
