Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production activities in the Press Shop and Plasma Cutting Shop
- Supervise plasma cutting operations for preparing iron blanks as per production requirements.
- Handle and monitor press forming operations using a 1000-ton hydraulic/mechanical press.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Monitor cutting, forming, and pressing parameters to ensure consistent output.
- Identify and resolve production issues, defects, and process abnormalities.
- Ensure proper handling and availability of raw materials, blanks, dies, tooling, and production equipment.
- Coordinate with supervisors, operators, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth production.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, workplace safety, and 5S practices.
- Monitor machine condition and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain production records, process documentation, and shift-wise reports.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and reduce rejection and downtime.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in Press Shop / Sheet Metal / Automotive Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in press forming operations is preferred.
- Experience in plasma cutting / cutting of metal blanks is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good team-handling and shop-floor coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing shop-floor environment and shifts as required.
