About Controvia AI

Controvia AI is building an AI platform that automatically audits employee expense claims for large organisations.

Enterprise customers have complex policies, workflows, data sources, and audit requirements. Our goal is to build a product that can handle this complexity while remaining intuitive and easy to use.

We're looking for a Product Manager to help shape the product as we enter an important stage of commercial growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on, early-stage product role. You'll work closely with the founder, engineering team, and enterprise customers to understand problems, define solutions, prioritise what we build, and help turn customer needs into a scalable product.

You won't be joining a large product organisation with an established roadmap. You'll have the opportunity to influence product direction from an early stage and see your decisions directly impact the product and customers.

Product Discovery

- Speak directly with enterprise customers and prospects.
- Understand finance, expense, and audit workflows.
- Identify recurring customer problems and opportunities.
- Distinguish scalable product requirements from one-off customer requests.
- Turn customer insights into actionable product opportunities.

Product Definition

- Translate customer needs into clear product requirements.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Define workflows, product behaviour, and expected outcomes.
- Work closely with designers and engineers to develop effective solutions.

Roadmap & Prioritisation
- Own and prioritise the product backlog.
- Balance customer needs, commercial priorities, and long-term product strategy.
- Coordinate releases and delivery with engineering.




- Communicate priorities and product decisions clearly across the company.

Product Learning

- Track how customers use the product.
- Gather and structure customer feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and customer value.
- Help turn early enterprise implementations into a scalable product.

What We're Looking For

Essential

- 3+ years of product management or closely related experience.
- Experience working with software products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and moving quickly in an early-stage environment.

Highly Desirable

- Experience working with AI/ML products.
- B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience.
- Experience with finance, ERP, audit, expense management, or workflow products.
- Technical background or solid technical understanding.
