MantriAI is a boutique search firm for technology companies. We are running this mandate for a client - a venture-backed AI product company headquartered in Bengaluru, building for a global user base in the millions.

The role

You will own product design for the core agent experience on web and app - the surfaces where a user describes a task, watches it run, and gets the output. The problems here are ambiguous by nature. Users cannot always predict what an agent will do, how long it will take, or what it will cost. Your job is to make that uncertainty legible without overpromising or alarming anyone. The interface is minimal by intent, so every addition has to earn its place

What you will do

- Take ambiguous problems, structure them, and push back on the framing

- Design how the product communicates cost, time, and agent behaviour in plain terms
- Own coherent flows across the journey, from first prompt to finished output
- Build high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes in Figma, end to end, without hand-holding




- Walk founders and engineers through your decisions and the reasoning behind them
- Work close to engineering so designs ship at startup speed

What we are looking for

- 4-7 years of product or UX design experience

- A portfolio with case studies that cover the problem, the tradeoffs, and the reasoning behind your calls
- Strong hands-on Figma
- A working read on user psychology - trust, expectation-setting, how people respond to uncertainty
- Restraint-driven design sensibility, comfortable leaving things out
- Clear written and spoken communication

Valuable to have

- Time on AI, agentic, or other technical products

- Exposure to pricing, billing, or usage-credit models
- Experience as the early or only designer at a startup

Logistics

- Full-time role. Six-day work week.

- Remote within India. Office-based if you are in Bengaluru.
- Notice period of 30 days or less preferred
