Role & responsibilities

1. Product Cataloguing

- Create, maintain, and update accurate product records for VBJs jewellery collections.
- Capture and enter detailed product attributes including:

- SKU / Product Code
- Jewellery Category and Product Type

- Collection / Design

- Metal Type and Purity
- Gross Weight and Net Weight

- Diamond / Gemstone details
- Stone Count, Shape, Cut and Caratage, wherever applicable
- Size, dimensions, length, and other product specifications
- Pricing and other relevant catalogue attributes
- Ensure product information is complete, consistent, and aligned with approved master data.
- Maintain accurate catalogue records for new launches, existing products, collections, and product revisions.
- Update catalogue information promptly whenever product specifications, pricing, availability, or other attributes change.

2. Image & SKU Mapping

- Ensure the correct product images are mapped to the corresponding SKU/product code.
- Cross-check product images against the physical jewellery and catalogue specifications.
- Ensure all required views and images are available as per VBJs catalogue standards.
- Identify incorrect, duplicate, missing, or mismatched images and coordinate for correction.
- Maintain accurate image naming, tagging, and SKU-level mapping.

3. Product Data Quality & QC

- Conduct thorough quality checks before products are published on VBJs website or other digital platforms.
- Verify consistency between:

- Identify missing, incorrect, duplicate, or inconsistent product information.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve catalogue discrepancies.
- Ensure jewellery terminology, specifications, measurements, weights, and product descriptions are accurate and consistently presented.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing large volumes of SKUs.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with

- Merchandising for product categorisation, attributes, collections,



and pricing.
- Production / Manufacturing for technical specifications, metal, stone, weight, and design details.
- Inventory – for SKU, stock, and product availability information.
- Design – for collection and design-related information.
- Photography / Creative – for product images and image corrections.
- E-commerce / Digital Team – for website listing, publishing, and catalogue updates.

5. Catalogue Management

- Maintain a structured and up-to-date product master catalogue.
- Track pending information, missing images, corrections, and products awaiting publication.
- Support new collection launches by ensuring catalogue readiness within agreed timelines.
- Maintain version accuracy and ensure obsolete or discontinued product information is appropriately updated.
- Support catalogue audits and periodic data-cleaning exercises.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Must know how magento operates & its automated systems to upload the products , atleast 200+ in one day.
- Good understanding of jewellery products and terminology.
- Robust Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Experience working with product information, SKU databases, PIM, ERP, CMS, or e-commerce platforms will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve them systematically.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes of data within tight timelines.
- Strong ownership, discipline, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Must be able to clean up and correct the datas every month alongside website maintenance team.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1–3 years of experience in jewellery cataloguing, e-commerce, retail, merchandising, product data management, or a similar role.
- Prior experience with a jewellery brand, retailer, marketplace, or e-commerce business will be preferred.
- Familiarity with gold, diamond, precious stone, and other jewellery product attributes will be an added advantage.
